designwithsmiles started in Telde, Gran Canaria, in 2019. The Canary Islands have a very specific market: an economy based primarily on tourism, a large expat community speaking German, English, and Dutch, and a service sector that lags in web presence relative to actual demand.

We are specifically a studio for the Canary Islands market. That does not mean we do not work elsewhere, but our services are designed around the real problems businesses here face: the need for multilingualism, overreliance on Booking.com and Airbnb, local businesses invisible to foreign residents.

The six services we offer cover the most common requirements: tourism and hospitality websites, multilingual business sites, activity booking sites, rental portals, restaurant sites, and personal brand websites for coaches and wellness professionals.
